Event Operations – Event Day Delivery

This programme requires close liaison with the Local Organising Committees (LOC) and the International Federations (IF).

Depending on the nature of the Event, Delta I.S.O. deploy tournament venue managers who will oversee the implementation of event day operations at their assigned venue and ensure delivery of the rights and obligations of the LOC and/or International Federations within that venue on event days.

The appointed venue manager plays an integral role in facilitating clear and open communication channels between all stakeholder groups and undertakes problem resolution as required to ensure delivery of these rights.

Delta I.S.O. can also provide assistance in the preparation and development of match day operations documentation including operations procedures, run sheets, event manuals, etc. all of which the tournament venue managers will work with the LOC and/or International Federation to ensure operational delivery of on event day

IT & Telecommunications

Events requires sophisticated IT & Telecommunications solutions for example, but by no means limited to the following areas:

LOC Operations, Legacy & Knowledge Sharing

Management of an Event in all aspects is guided by the goal to achieve world class standards at best value. This includes the use of the best national and global resources.

In a number of cases, the Local Organising Committees will be staging the Event and it is they that need to be empowered with the knowledge and expertise to exceed the standards of, for example, a previous World Event or Games. It is within the LOCs that lies the real opportunity for empowerment and knowledge sharing, and as part of expertise, Delta I.S.O. can work to help facilitate this.

Spectator Services

The key to successful delivery of major sports events is preparing the organisation and their teams to think and act operationally. This can be achieved by developing an integrated operations based approach.

For many organisations the natural focus is on individual functional based planning. This programme however develops a holistic view of the event, promotes communication and integration and focuses on the important interdependencies between functions.

Through integrated planning and interactive training exercises that simulate ‘live’ event operations teams will gain a clearer understanding and greater confidence for operational delivery.
